LaTienda is a fair trade women's art co-op located in the Dominican Republic offering a dignified, beautiful environment for women to create amazing items to sell. Purchasing these items enables these women to make enough money for them to feed their families, avoid rummaging through dumps and, for some, a life of prostitution. This site features the beautiful items of LaTienda and will continually be updated (great for those of you who have Bloglines or something similar) as new product reaches Canada.

We will be more than happy to ship you a *HomeParty Package* which includes: $200 worth of product, two sets of designer cards featuring the women of LaTienda painted by artist Shari Doseger (as available), a 13 minute LaTienda DVD, as well as "How to Host" Cards with tips, frequently asked questions, and payment options.
